The Charter of 1732 was a legal document that granted 21 trustees the right to settle Georgia, including James Oglethorpe. It had many rules and regulations, some were there were no blacks, Catholics, liquor, or lawyers allowed in the colony. It also listed the borders. The eastern border was the Savannah River and the western border was the Pacific ocean.The trustees gave the colony back to King George 1 year before the charter ended.
