The Coastal Plain is in the southern half of Georgia. It is the largest of the regions in terms of land area. It begins at the fall line, the fall line is a dramatic drop in elevation the separates the Piedmont and the Coastal Plain. It is the youngest of all the regions. Waterfalls, rapids, and whitewater mark the fall line.
